Preparation of fabrics for hot sealing

Thermoplastic hot-melt adhesives are applied to decorative fabrics for subsequent sealing in the lamination process. Foils and webs, paste points (single or double points) and powder scatter or screen print methods are used.

Soft touch

Surface materials are enhanced with special upholstery which involves their lamination with a soft spacer fabric. This process can be used to prepare technical textiles for all kinds of seat and interior applications.

Reinforcement

The basic substrate is laminated with a knitted, woven or non-woven fabric resulting in the definite improvement of elongation properties, tensile strength and stitch tear strength.

Penetration barrier

Health care applications necessitate materials which are breathable yet impenetrable to mites, bacteria and urine. This is achieved by laminating a membrane or surface foil with the décor.
